Meet Salka from Iceland

Salka is here from Iceland looking for new friends. She is friendly, fun to be with, and loves ice cream. If you do too, then extend a hand of friendship to her—preferably with ice cream. After all, Icelandic people love ice cream so much that they are likely to queue up for it even in stormy weather. This is interesting because it is almost always cold in Iceland!

In the 17th century, Icelandic women wore Faldbúningur, an old type of costume with tail-caps and oversized collars. Later on, they started wearing something called a Peysuföt.
